Welcome to Lomond Books Ltd. Founded in 1984, we are the leading book publisher, wholesaler and distributor in Scotland for Scottish interest product, and a leading wholesaler to the trade across the UK.
We aim to provide the very best range of products for our customers and continually review and revise the thousands of lines in our catalogue. We stock books, maps, jigsaws and toys from all of the UK’s major publishers, many independent publishers and self-publisher authors. We produce our own books under our exclusive imprints, as well as our own ranges of calendars, postcards, greetings cards, magnets, prints and coasters.
We started publishing more than 30 years ago through organising reprints of popular Scottish titles to fill a gap in the market that our wholesaling activities had highlighted. Soon after, we began commissioning new titles to publish under our own imprint and currently we have more than 100 titles carrying our name in one guise or another. Many of these are aimed at the tourist and leisure market both of which are growing at a steady rate.

Our Service
We are tremendously proud of our Field Sales Team who are out and about five days a week visiting our customers. They have a wealth of experience between them and a fantastic understanding of our product range and of the market in which they work, The Sales Team not only offer a personalised service on their calls, but they also carry with them product samples, previews and can provide a van merchandising service, including display units. Any goods not supplied from our vans are despatched from our Broxburn warehouse.
We guarantee to promote the best products for your outlet regardless of which publisher they come from. When you deal with publishers direct, it can mean that they only promote their own titles regardless of suitability. Lomond is different. Our sales team will offer tailored recommendations so that you only stock products right for you, and nothing else.
You can view the details of all of our products on this website, but in addition we will send you an updated, colour catalogue and newsletter every month highlighting what’s new and best-selling.
Our Guarantee
We are so confident that our books really are the best quality at the best prices that we offer new customers a 60-day trial period. If in that time you are not completely satisfied with Lomond for any reason, we will take back all remaining stock and stands and you will only have to pay for what you have sold.
We believe this 60-day trial demonstrates our confidence in the quality of our products and our long-term commitment to our customers.
Sale or Return
One of the many advantages with the Lomond service is the full, no quibble, sale or return policy we operate. There are no restrictions in regard to value, quantity or length of time stock has been held* – and no other wholesaler or publisher gives you this assurance. You can stock your shelves with full confidence, knowing that slow selling or dated stock can be returned and replaced with fast-selling, new lines.
You are able to try out new material at any time without the worry of being left with stock you cannot use. Credits for returned stock are issued either immediately by the sales team or within a few days from the office.

Extended Credit
At certain times during the year we offer superb extended credit deals to ease the burden of advance buying.

On all orders placed at this show we offer an amazing extended credit deal until 30th June, so you can order your whole season’s stock and benefit from the sales without having to give us a penny.

Orders placed at the Autumn show have extended credit until the end of December.
Extended credit deals are great value and certainly not to be missed. They are available to everyone placing orders for titles on display at the show. What’s more, your sale or return guarantee is not affected by extended credit offers.
Special Order Service
Can’t find what you’re looking for in our catalogue? We provide a special order service where you can order any title not normally stocked by us. As long the title is available and we are able to obtain it, we will be delighted to order it especially for you. We supply these titles on our normal payment terms and your sale or return guarantee is not affected.
Lomond Exclusives
We currently publish more than 100 titles under our own Lomond imprints – high quality, excellent value titles that are exclusive to us – available absolutely nowhere else.
We have a number of exclusive distribution partners too and their titles are available nowhere else.
Account Options

Credit Accounts:
Sale or Return Account – terms start at 33% discount with payment due 30 days from the date of statement on all invoices (except trade fair orders).
Firm Sale Account – terms start at 35% discount with payment due 30 days from the date of statement on all invoices (except trade fair orders).
To open a new credit account, all we require two trade references and your bank details.
New account forms are available to download at the bottom of this page. Usually your account will be open the same day we receive your new account form, and you will receive a letter from us containing all your account details within a few days.
Cash Accounts:
Cash With Order Account – terms available at 38.25% with invoices paid at the time of order.
We also offer a cash and carry account for customers able to travel to our warehouse in Broxburn:
Cash and Carry Account – terms available at 40% discount with invoices paid at time of order, and products purchased at our Broxburn warehouse Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm.
